Moro, OR –New Beginnings: Sherman Jr./Sr. High School Art Students will be the first in the annual Sherman County Artist Series when the Sherman County Historical Museum opens for the season on May 1st.
Student artists will include Daisy Rudometkin with linoleum cuts, pencil drawings and pastel on paper; Karolyn Kaseberg with acrylic on canvas; and Katie Wilson with pencil drawings, according to their instructor, Lisa Privette.
Visitors may find some additions to this line-up which will be on display until May 31, and will want to view the mural on the Museum exterior facing Dewey Street, a summer 2010 youth project.
Sherman County’s award-winning museum in Moro offers quality interpretive exhibits with hands-on activities: Oregon Trails, Rails and Roads, Wheat Through the Ages, Horse Power, Rural Living, Patriotism: Pride and Anguish, and Cultivation, Conservation and Clothespins.
