MORO--Oregon Historical Society Field Services and You and Museum Marketing, Advertising and Promotion will be topics of interest at the Columbia Plateau Museums Association's spring meeting and workshop on Monday, April 27 at the Sherman County Fairgrounds and the Sherman County Historical Museum in Moro.
All who work with museums or have an interest in regional tourism and history in north central Oregon and south central Washington are invited to attend.
The Association was founded in 1994 to provide a forum for museums in the area to explore together ways to preserve, promote and interpret regional history and artistic heritage.
Following the 10 a.m. registration and welcome, Rick Read, OHS Field Services Representative, will talk about how Oregon Historical Society can help smaller museums.
After lunch, Lee Musgrave, Public Relations and Special Projects Officer at Maryhill Museum of Art, will share ideas about marketing, advertising and promotion.
