Take a ride on the rural side! The Sherman County Historical Museum offers a narrated South End Excursion on Saturday, September 26.
Starting at the Museum in Moro at 1 p.m., the bus will head southeast to Lone Rock, Rutledge, Rosebush, Bourbon and Kent. From there, the route takes a turn onto Liberty Road to Finnegan Canyon, Buckley and Highway 206 into Grass Valley for an early dinner, returning to the Museum about 5 p.m. Layered clothing, walking shoes, camera and binoculars are suggested. Topics will include little-known tidbits about wildlife, geology, places and history. In celebration of Oregon’s 150th birthday, there will be no charge for this tour and dinner. Limited to 16 on a first-call basis, registration is required by September 20. Sign up by calling the Museum, 541-565-3232. |
