Sherman County Historical Society and Museum Open Daily 10 until 5 May through October |
News Release. September 2, 2009
Margaret Snider of Grass Valley is the September Artist of the Month at the Sherman County Historical Museum in Moro.
A display of tablecloths and napkins decorated with her hand-stitched embroidery will be on display through September. Her work is nearly a lost art for those accustomed to machine embroidered fabrics. Margaret’s mother taught her to embroider at a young age, an art that continues to provide hours of relaxation and enjoyment and gifts for family members and friends. She is happily passing her skill on to her daughters and granddaughters and, most recently, to members of 4-H Cloverbuds. There is no fee for this exhibit in the Museum lobby. Questions? Call 541-565-3232. |
