Moro, OR -- The fish will be running, and so will the bus going out to Sherar’s Falls on the Deschutes River. Sherman County Historical Society is sponsoring the narrated trip during the late afternoon of April 19.
Topics will include The Dalles Military Road, Negro Ridge, Cut-off to the Barlow Trail, Sherar’s Grade, Sherar’s Falls and the Sherar home site, Deschutes River railroads and tribal fisheries. Layered clothing, walking shoes, camera, binoculars and sunglasses are suggested.
The bus will depart from the Museum at 3 p.m. sharp. The $30 fee includes a light dinner at the Grass Valley Market before returning to Moro about 7 p.m.
Limited to 16 on a first-call basis, registration is required by 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 15. The cost of the trip with the meal is $30 per person. Sign up by calling the Museum at 541-565-3232 on a Wednesday or Thursday between 10 and 3 o’clock.
