Moro, OR – Sherman County: For the Record, the summer issue of a twice-yearly historical anthology of benefit to members of the Sherman County Historical Society, was put in the mail to members this week.
Editors Kathy McCullough and Julie Reynolds made fires the focus of this issue with stories told by Sandy Macnab, Ron McDermid, Terri Earl, Jane Kirkpatrick, Cheryl Rhodes, Don Thompson, Tom Martin, Joe Harvey, Norm Fridley, Jared Weedman, Erin Weedman, Sam Miller, Leo Coelsch, Ken Melzer, Shawn Payne and Pat Jacobsen.
Excerpts from Inez (Van Gilder) Sargent’s daily desk dairies and a story written by Eva Miller Bear in 1983 are included. Photographs illustrating the stories are from the Museum collections and by Ed and Eve Sharp, Mary Macnab, Sherry Kaseberg, Herb Ramsey family, Russ Anderson, Kathy McCullough, Earl family, Miller family, Sandy Macnab and Shawn Payne.
