| Sherman County: For The Record is a twice
yearly historical 60-page anthology published by the Sherman County Historical
Society in Moro, Oregon. The many authors who contribute to For The
Record provide a window into the past with memoirs, official records and
photographs. Three index volumes are sold separately.

| "Sugar, apples
and black strap sorghum molasses came in barrels. The oldsters wore specs
instead of glasses, and made toothpicks out of goose quills. Cider was
made of apples, worms and all, and later in the spring it turned to vinegar."
