Sherman County Historical Museum in Moro traces a 200-year-old story of hardship, culture and change as visitors are invited to follow in the footsteps of Native Americans, Lewis and Clark, pioneers and settlers in the new exhibition, Oregon Trails, Rails and Roads in Sherman County.

The national-award-winning museum features more than 16,000 artifacts and photographs that chronicle the cultural changes of the area brought by hundreds of settlers that began to move into the region in the 1880s.

Children visiting the museum will enjoy the opportunity to make rubbings based on local Indian pictographs and petroglyphs, and to dress in reproductions of pioneer clothing. Admission is $3 per adult, $1 for students, and free for children under the age of six. The museum is open daily from May through October. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information call 541-565-3232.
