Sherman Historical Society - Birds of Prey - November
10
The Sherman County Historical Society invites
members and friends to enjoy fellowship and food on Sunday, November 10 at
one o'clock, Wasco United Methodist Church in Wasco. Joe Schable of Tygh
Valley will present the program on Birds of Prey.
Joe Schable has lived at Tygh Valley for over 20
years. The transportation coordinator for South Wasco County School
District #1, he's had federal and state permits to rehabilitate ill
or injured birds of prey since 1975. That's how Sherman County Museum
folks met Joe. A youthful owl out of its nest and vandalized by children
was found at the Museum. Volunteers took the bird to Joe who came to the
rescue and returned the owl to City Park in Moro.
Please reserve your $7.50 BBQ pork meal by calling
Dorothy Benson at 541-333-2535.
