Seven Generations of Family Art

The creative efforts of seven generations are featured on the Sherman County Historical Museum lobby wall for the month of July. Museum visitors will appreciate the work of men, women and children in this extended-family exhibit, produced over nearly 200 years ----- in wood, fabric, yarn, string, oils, pencil, clay, watercolors and crayon. Sisters, Myrna Runyon Melzer and Diane Runyon von Borstel, both of Moro, gathered up the artistic works of their families, beginning with the wedding-ring quilt made by their great-grandmother for their father.

The Museum in Moro is open daily from ten until five. Next to an inviting City Park, the Museum provides exhibits and activities of interest to all ages, and a fine gift shop.  For more information, call 565-3232 or see the Museum web site: www.shermanmuseum.org.
