The Museum Store offers exciting new products: a signature t-shirt with a windmill, wind turbine and wheat design in several colors; locally-made Sherman County Rocky Roads (chocolates), Cups of Toffee in a Sherman County Historical Museum mug and wheat-embroidered kitchen towels and bread basket liners; decorative baskets; walking sticks; and red, white and blue metal stars in various sizes for house and yard. Our replica 1925 Ladies Aid cookbook excerpts give us a peek at recipes before “Betty Crocker.”

Local historians will find several items of interest: local stories by local authors in Sherman County: For the Record, our historical anthology published twice-yearly since 1983; the 1913 Sherman County Atlas on CD; Jane Kirkpatrick’s books Homestead and A Sweetness to the Soul (based on Jane Herbert Sherar); Sherman County Place Names by Sherry Kaseberg; and photo packets featuring the Sherar family and old time Sherman County main streets for all five towns dating to the 1880s and including a 1917 car show in Wasco.
