Annual Membership Meeting

Moro, Oregon – The Sherman County Historical Society had a wonderful turn out last Saturday for a day of activities and the 2013 Annual Membership Meeting. There was fantastic music at the Museum with Jerry Lohrey and friends playing Western and Gospel music, and Mark Mobley of Countryfied jumped in and sang a few songs in addition to singing the National Anthem before dinner.

Many visitors toured the museum and stayed for the social hour visiting with friends and enjoying wine and hors d'oevres before heading to the Senior Center for a dinner that was simply delicious.  After all those attending dinner were seated and served by the Sherman County FFA Chapter, the Sherman County Society held their Annual Membership Meeting.  Minutes of past meetings were shared and Dean Ruggles read his Grandmother Allie Ruggles’ poem and a presentation was shown in honor of the Museum's 30th Anniversary that was produced by Moose Productions.  The evening was enjoyed by all and everyone got to take home a glass from their table as appreciation for attending dinner.

A huge thank you goes out to the committee and people that volunteered their time and efforts to plan and make a great day for everyone to celebrate the Making of a Museum: Celebrating 30 Years! Thank you.

This national award-winning museum in Moro is open daily May through October from 10 am to 5 pm.  For more information visit our Facebook page and website: www.shermanmuseum.org
