Sherman County Historical Museum Opens for the 2015 Season

Moro, OR – May 1st the Sherman County Historical Museum opens for the season and visitors are welcome daily 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. through October.  Journey through time and learn about Sherman County and enjoy the exhibits that share this county’s heritage.  Along with viewing artifacts and photographs of the past check out rotating displays of newly donated items, Community Collections and each month see a new local artist featured on the lobby wall.  The month of May will feature the artwork of students from Sherman County Elementary.
 
Visitors will enjoy being greeted by the friendly volunteers and experiencing the first-rate interpretive and hands-on exhibits at the museum as they learn about Sherman County.   Patriotism: Pride and Anguish, Wheat Through the Ages, The Sherman County Journal: Paper, Ink & Presses, Cultivation, Conservation and Clothespins and Oregon Trails, Rails and Roads in Sherman County are among the exhibits to enjoy. 
 
Come take a walk on the rural side and discover what is new at Sherman County’s national-award-winning museum.
