Hats, Handkerchiefs & Handbags of Sherman County

New for 2019 on display at the Sherman County Historical Museum are some of the accessories of style and fashion from years ago. Come see what we brought out of our archives and “tip your hat” and enjoy this exhibit for 2019.

Sherman County Historical Society and Museum

The Museum comprises 16,000 square feet and over 15,000 artifacts used in Native American families, Oregon Trail migration, rural households, churches, schools, businesses, livestock production, dry-land wheat farming and conservation, military units and patriotic efforts.

A myriad of the county's 1,800 residents volunteer at the Museum.  We are a unique non-profit county museum with interpretive exhibits of tools and equipment used by families in wheat and  livestock production, homes, businesses, schools and churches on the Columbia Plateau, and hands-on experiences for everyone!

We are the many friendly volunteers at the Sherman County Historical Museum! The museum is the 1994 recipient of the American Association for State and Local History's prestigious Corey Award for vigor, scholarship and imagination... something like an Oscar for small volunteer operated museums!

*Hosted daily by local volunteers.

Open Daily 10 until 5 May through October
